The first ever IrishTHON is on Saturday, February 2 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. in the Sullivan Center. The IrishTHON the only mini-marathon in the area, working under the national Dance Marathon organization. All proceeds from IrishTHON go to Mercy Children’s Hospital. This event is open to only Central Catholic students, faculty and staff from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., and will open to the public from 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Here is some information to get you started:
Who can register? Any Central Catholic student or staff member can register.
Do I need to form a team? Good news – teams are already formed! We will compete as the Senior, Junior, Sophomore and Freshman teams. There is a Faculty/Staff team, too.
How do we raise money? When you register, you will pay $10, which goes directly into your own fundraising account. After that, you will get a link to share with family and friends via email, social media, etc. Anyone can go to that link and donate to your account. You get credit for every dollar you raise, but you don’t have to collect any money! There is no minimum amount to raise (you will need to fill in the standard $100 donation goal when you register, but only the $10 registration fee is required). There will be incentive prizes for those who raise the most money before and during the event. Everyone who registers will get an IrishTHON t-shirt!
Why should I register for IrishTHON? Do it #ForTheKids! Plus you will spend 4 hours having fun with other people #ForTheKids!
When do I need to register? The sooner the better! Register early so you can start raising money. Follow the links below for your team, or to donate. #ForTheKids!
