Overview

Glee Club is a long-standing tradition at Central Catholic. It is an auditioned SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, base) choir open to students in grades 10 – 12. Glee Club members expand their knowledge of the fundamentals of singing and music through classroom activities and a full year of performance opportunities highlighted by Discovery Days, Sounds of Christmas, and the Spring Musical. Students are exposed to a variety of repertoire from various periods and genres including music from the Renaissance through Contemporary and Broadway. Each year students successfully compete in the Ohio Music Education Association contests and a number of students have been awarded college scholarships in both music and theater.
