Department Overview

The Science Department prepares students for college and careers through rigorous coursework that emphasizes scientific inquiry. Courses provide a conceptual background in addition to both individual and group laboratory experiences. Honors students are expected to conduct an individual science research project. Other opportunities for research beyond the classroom include participation in the state science fair and the Student Watershed Watch. Our science department has maintained four area water-testing sites for more than 20 years through the Watershed Watch.

Science Department offerings include biology, chemistry, physical science, physics, anatomy & physiology, zoology and environmental science.
