French Studies

In the study of French, we strive to promote the language, culture, and traditions of the language. The skills of reading, writing, and pronouncing are continually stressed and used in the classroom. Movies and selections of literary works (novels, poems, essays, short stories) are read and analyzed by the students. Computer based projects on art and history are developed and presented by the students. These topics have come to life for all the students during visits to the Manet Exhibit and The Art of the Louvre’s Tuileries Garden Exhibit at the Toledo Museum of Art. In the future, an AP French Language & Culture course will be added to our curriculum.
