- What is your role at Central Catholic?
As an administrative assistant, I handle a lot of the day-to-day tasks like answering phone calls and emails and greeting visitors.  Most importantly, I help meet our students’ needs to the best of my abilities, and I support our faculty and staff daily.

- What were you involved in when you were a student at Central Catholic?
Unfortunately I wasn’t involved in any extracurriculars during high school, but I loved supporting my classmates when I could!  I focused mainly on my academics and personal responsibilities outside of school.  I came from a large family - one of nine - so helping out at home was a large responsibility, and it taught me time management and commitment, which I carry with me today.

- What is your educational background?
I earned my medical assistant degree from Stautzenberger College, where I was able to build a strong foundation in the medical field.  All of the hands-on learning that I was able to experience and the close mentorship from my teachers played a major role in shaping my passion for healthcare.

- What did you do before joining the CCHS staffulty?
Over the course of my 25-year career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of medical office settings, each offering unique experiences across the healthcare spectrum.  These roles have allowed me to continuously grow, adapt, and deepen my understanding of the field.  I’ve learned so much from the physicians I was able to work with.

- What made you want to work at Central Catholic?
Of course being a CCHS graduate, meeting my husband (Troy Grodi, Class of 1985) here, and having our daughter (Brittley Grodi, Class of 2007) attend and now work here herself, this has always been a special place for me and my family.  I was excited to try something new, and working with students and a great group of adults has been so refreshing and something I really enjoy!

- What is it like to work in the same place as your daughter?
Working with Brittley has been great!  Before she joined CCHS 10 years ago, we actually worked together in a neurology office, so working together here feels very natural.  We’ve been able to support each other at work, which has been awesome, and I enjoy being able to see Brittley in her element as well.

- What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
I really enjoy crafting, gardening, family game nights, and just spending time with my husband and kids.  Brittley lives in town, but my son lives in Chicago.  When we have the opportunity to all be together, it’s one of the things I enjoy most!

- Victoria’s daughter, Brittley, works as one of our Co-Directors of Enrollment.  We asked her about working at Central Catholic with her mom:
It’s not every day that you get to share your workplace with a parent, and having my mom join the team has been such a special experience.  As a CCHS graduate, she already understood the heart of our mission, so returning felt like a natural fit.  I told her from the start that once you begin working with our students, you’ll never want to leave!  They are what makes this place so special and energizing every single day.  It’s been amazing to watch her thrive here and bring her own strengths to our team!
