Message From Father Rader

Dear Central Catholic Community,

“Thy will be done.”  During yesterday’s celebration of Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion – Christian Communities throughout the world heard these words as part of the proclamation of Our Lord’s Passion.  This year as I proclaimed the Passion these words had particular significance for me as they have become my own – “Thy will be done”.

I am saddened to inform you that this weekend Bishop Daniel Thomas, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo, announced my appointment as Pastor of St. Mary Parish, Tiffin and St. Pius X Parish, Sycamore effective July 1, 2019.

These past six years ministering the Gospel among the faculty, staff and students of Central Catholic have been filled with great joy and I am proud of the good things we have been able to accomplish in building a renewed culture of discipleship.

At the same time, I am excited to announce that Bishop Thomas has named Rev. David Kidd, currently serving as Parochial Vicar at St. Rose of Lima Parish, Perrysburg as my successor effective July 1, 2019.  I am confident Fr. Kidd will not only continue the good work begun, but will guide Central Catholic toward deeper faith and care for her students with greater love.  Through the leadership of Mr. Parkins and Fr. Kidd, Central Catholic is in good hands for many years to come.

Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Matthew R. Rader
