Alumna Candice Harrison Named YWCA Milestones Honoree

Candice Harrison (Class of 1993) will be honored by the YWCA of Northwest Ohio at the 31st annual YWCA Milestones: A Tribute to Women luncheon at the Glass City Center on March 26.  The event celebrates women making an impact in their community in art, business, education, government, science, social services, and volunteerism.  Candice is one of just eight women in Northwest Ohio selected for this year’s class from 300 nominations by individuals in the community, including co-workers and acquaintances.  Candice will be recognized in the volunteer category.

The Milestones Awards were established in 1996 to recognize women of Northwest Ohio for outstanding accomplishments and contributions, and to honor women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and who, through their efforts and accomplishments, contribute to the empowerment of women.

Candice works as the director of inclusion and community impact for the SSOE Group.  She currently serves as chairman of the marketing committee of Central Catholic’s Board of Directors, president-elect for the Rotary Club of Toledo, and as a board member for the Art Tatum Zone.
