Fighting Irish Girls’ Volleyball Trio Garners All-CHSL Honors
Three members of the Central Catholic girls’ volleyball team have been recognized by the Catholic High School League (CHSL) for their outstanding play and achievements during the 2025 campaign.
Senior Toryn Brookens earned All-Catholic honors, while senior Audrina Randall was named to the All-League Team, and senior Madison Schmakel received All-Academic recognition for her success in the classroom.
An outside hitter, Brookens tallied 200 digs, 165 kills, 19 aces, and 6 blocks.
A setter, Randall totaled 444 assists, 40 aces, 25 kills, and 11 blocks this fall.
As libero, Schmakel registered 337 digs, 29 aces, and 13 kills.
Last fall, Randall garnered All-Catholic laurels and Schmakel collected All-Academic honors, highlighting their consistency and leadership throughout their CCHS careers.
Earlier this week, six Fighting Irish players were rewarded with Division III All-District accolades. Randall was selected to the All-District 7 Second Team, while Brookens and Schmakel earned Honorable Mention recognition.
Seniors Reagan Bluhm, Makenzie Coleman, Kyndal Moran, Brookens, Randall, and Schmakel also earned All-District Academic honors for their achievements in the classroom.
The Scarlet & Gray capped a successful season by advancing to the Division III District Semifinals under second-year head coach Troy Zabawa.
