Insignis Society Students Honored at NHS Assembly

Members of the Central Catholic Insignis Society were celebrated at our recent National Honor Society assembly.  These are the high achieving students that are ranked in the top 10, 11, and 12 of the sophomore, junior, and senior classes, respectively.  Seniors Tyler Britsch and Kevon Harrison were also officially inducted into the National Honor Society.

A special thank-you to alumna Nicole (Ayers) Susdorf ’04, Program Director at Leadership Toledo, who spoke at the assembly.  She shared an inspiring message about service, which is one of the four pillars of the NHS, reminding our students to “find ways to serve others, always.”

“The Insignis Society is unique to the Central Catholic culture,” said Clare Smith, National Honor Society co-moderator.  “The top performing students deserve to be recognized and are a great example to the rest of the student body.  Hopefully, these young men and women become an inspiration to others to work hard.  We were also fortunate to invite two seniors to join the National Honor Society this fall.  Tyler and Kevon have both demonstrated ongoing commitment to their academic success, and growth in their leadership and character development.”

“Being inducted into the Insignis Society is a great honor,” said sophomore Carson Pettaway.  “Being recognized for academic excellence makes me feel like my hard work is paying off.”

“This honor is a reflection of how hard I’ve been working as a student at Central Catholic,” agreed sophomore Adelaide Juette.  “It’s nice to be recognized.  This is something that will appeal to colleges when I apply, and it will be good for my future success.”
