Why did you choose to attend Central Catholic and what’s the best thing about being here?
I live in the Springfield school district and I chose to attend Central Catholic to have a greater academic challenge.  It’s a great school with a great football team, and it felt like the right fit for me.

I never really thought of myself as a leader, but my dad always told me I was.  Then I started getting involved in different things at Central Catholic and getting into leadership positions, and I’m really taking that more seriously now.

The best thing about being here is the family aspect.  Everyone is friendly and welcoming and no one feels like an outcast.

What are your plans after high school?
I plan to go to college, and I’ve applied to several schools.  I am interested in studying physical therapy.  At first, I thought I might want to go into pharmacy, but when I tore my meniscus in football and had to do physical therapy, I realized I could see myself doing that.  I feel like I would have something to offer because I’ve seen it from the patient’s view.

Irish Extra:
“Josh is the model that younger student-athletes should look to for how to approach their high school career.  Josh is a gifted athlete, but he is so humble you would never think it.  Josh is a gifted student who understands the lifetime value his approach to academics will provide.  He has his priorities in the correct order to achieve his life goals.  Most importantly, Josh genuinely cares about other people.  That is why he is viewed as a leader among his peers.  They know that he has all these gifts, but he is still concerned about what is happening with others around him.  Josh is a special young man.”
- Greg Dempsey, Fighting Irish Head Football Coach/Athletics Director
