Niyah Ghee Picked Student of the Month for September

Senior Niyah Ghee is a member of the National Honor Society, a Fighting Irish cheerleader, and an Irish Ambassador.  She chose to attend Central Catholic because it offers a strong academic program and a supportive environment where she felt she could grow both personally and academically.

“The school’s focus on community, so many opportunities, and dedicated teachers made it stand out to me,” Niyah said.  “Attending Central Catholic has had a major impact on my life.  It has helped me build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover my passions.  I have been challenged to step out of my comfort zone, and as a result, I became more independent and motivated.  The experiences I’ve had here shaped who I am today and prepared me for the next steps in my education and life.”

“Niyah is both creative and conscientious,” said Lisa Hunter, Niyah’s Creative Writing teacher.  “She’s always willing to think outside the box, and she consistently supports and encourages her classmates.  She brings a thoughtful, imaginative energy to everything she does.”

After high school, Niyah plans to become an ER nurse practitioner so she can help people in their vulnerable moments.
