Campus Ministry

Rooted in the Catholic tradition, Campus Ministry at Central Catholic High School accompanies all students, faculty, staff, Board Members, parents and alumni on their faith journeys by providing MANY opportunities for faith formation and spiritual wellness.

PRAY:

Daily Prayer, Mass, Confession, Adoration and other opportunities to deepen prayer life.


REST:

All students participate in a retreat each year with their classmates.

SERVE:

All CCHS students are required to complete hours in Direct Service, Leadership and/or Justice Awareness, Immersion, and Advocacy. All hours must be recorded via our Mobile Serve program and have 2 forms of verification.  These hours can be achieved in the classroom with teachers, on the court/field with coaches, in Mentorship Groups, and inside or outside school and CANNOT be exchanged for money.  Campus Ministry will provide students and parents with regular updates on logged hours via Mobile Serve and Power School. 

  • Freshmen: 10 hours 

  • Sophomores: 15 hours  

  • Juniors: 20 hours

  • Seniors: 25 hours

GROW: 

  • Campus Ministry Core Team

  • Faculty/Staff Small faith sharing groups during Advent/Lent

  • Opportunities for student small faith sharing groups

  • Priest Leader and Campus Minister regularly in theology classes

  • Leadership development in worship including lector, Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion, altar server and music ministry

  • Opportunities for spiritual direction

  • Confession available each Friday during both lunch periods
