Boys’ Golf Finishes Runner-Up at TAAC Championship
The Central Catholic boys’ golf team finished runner-up at the Toledo Area Athletic Conference (TAAC) Championship on Tuesday at the Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.
The Fighting Irish posted a score of 326 to finish 2nd among 5 schools at the 1-day event. The Scarlet & Gray finished 18 strokes behind team champion Ottawa Hills.
Individually, junior Sebastian MacDonald paced Central Catholic with an 18-hole score of 79 to finish in 4th place.
The remainder of CCHS’ lineup consisted of senior Spencer Varnes, (T6, 81), junior Logan Briggs (T8, 82), and senior Joel Drees (12, 84).
The Green Bears’ Yale Feniger claimed medalist honors with a round of 73.
