Central Catholic to Present This Murder Was Staged in November

Central Catholic High School’s Drama Club will present the play, This Murder Was Staged, on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23.

The play, written by Jason Greene and John Pizarello, is a show-within-a-show.  It’s opening night of a brand-new mystery play, but just as the killer is about to be revealed, the body of the play’s director falls on stage instead.  In that moment, the theater becomes an active crime scene, and everyone from cast to crew, and even the audience, becomes a suspect.  But how is the intrepid detective supposed to find the killer when everyone and their mother (literally) had a motive to want the demanding director gone?

“At the end of last school year, the Drama Club students expressed a strong desire to perform a comedy this coming season,” said Angela Mills, English teacher and Drama Club moderator.  “This Murder Was Staged is a fast-paced, family-friendly farce that is going to hone their comedic acting skills and provide an excellent evening of entertainment for the audience!”
