Central Catholic Presents its Festival of Lively Arts April 16

Central Catholic High School presents its Festival of Lively Arts (FOLA) on Thursday,April 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Sullivan Center.  This FREE event is open to the public and features student visual artwork in a variety of mediums, and live musical performances by the CCHS Concert Band, String Orchestra, and Glee Club, as well as a preview of our spring musical, Hairspray.  

|“The Festival of Lively Arts is a long tradition at CCHS that showcases the growth in skills, hard work, and talents of students in the fine arts,” said art teacher and department chair, Patty Bartkavage.  “In addition to musical performances, there will be artwork from students in Art Fundamentals, Drawing & Painting, Ceramics & Sculpture, Advanced Art, and AP Drawing.  Students always love to hear feedback about their work, and the positive responses we get from viewers encourages them to continue their pursuit of excellence in the arts.”

The spring musical will take place May 8, 9, and 10 at the Valentine Theatre.  Tickets can be purchased at valentinetheatre.com/events.  Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.  You may also call (419) 242-2787 or visit the box office at 410 Adams Street in downtown Toledo to purchase tickets.

5 p.m. - Visual Arts open
6 p.m. - Orchestra, Band
7 p.m. - Glee Club musical preview
8 p.m. - Event closes
