Four Football Players Sign During Early National Signing Period

Central Catholic High School proudly recognized four student-athletes on Wednesday as they signed their Athletic Aid Agreements during the Early National Signing Period. Surrounded by family, friends, teammates, coaches, and staffulty in Krompak Hall, each student-athlete celebrated a milestone that reflects years of dedication, discipline, and God-given talent.

Preston Fryzel (University of Notre Dame), Zanaje Liggons (Lafayette College), Victor Singleton, Jr. (Texas A&M University), and Sharard Vaughn III (University of Toledo) each committed to continuing both their academic and athletic journeys at the collegiate level. Their achievements embody our mission to prepare students to excel academically, grow socially, and mature spiritually — and our vision to inspire disciples who transform the world.

These four players will wear the Scarlet & Gray one final time together this Friday when the Fighting Irish face Bishop Watterson in the OHSAA Division III State Championship Game at 3 p.m. at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.

Earlier this month, classmates Manny Johnson (Eastern Michigan University) and Draden Wardrop (Oakland University) also signed their Athletic Aid Agreements, marking an extraordinary fall signing season for Irish Athletics.
