Get to Know CCHS Staffulty Member - Lori Czerniakowski

- What is your role at Central Catholic?
I am a building sub, so I am in the building every day and available to cover for any teacher who is absent.  I also help with the Freshman Success program over the summer, when the incoming freshmen come to CCHS to learn about being a Central Catholic student and prepare for high school.

- How long have you been working at CCHS?
This is my fifth year.

- What is your educational background? 
I graduated from Whitmer High School and the University of Toledo, where I earned a degree in education.

- What did you do before joining the CCHS staffulty?
I worked for Harbor Behavioral Healthcare for almost 30 years in a partial hospitalization program.  It was in a school setting with awesome human beings.

- What made you want to work at Central Catholic?
I was in between jobs, and my friend Kris Knannlein ’86 nudged me to try CCHS.  It was the best decision ever!

- What do you enjoy most about working at CCHS?
Central Catholic has given me so much in my time here - spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.  From the pep rallies to Worship Wednesday, building rapport with our students, conversations with Head of School Kevin Parkins and all the staff members, this is the greatest place to spend my days and time. 

- What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? 
Cooking, movies, sports - EVERYTHING NOTRE DAME.  My son is named after Brady Quinn, and my dogs are Lou Montana and Clover Dame.  I’m also a big fan of the Toledo Rockets, especially the Lady Rockets.  The basketball court in my backyard has a Toledo Rockets mural, painted by Megan Jurek ’20.
