Central Catholic Names Assistant Principals
Over the past several months, school administrators have taken time to discern the best path forward in selecting the next principal for Central Catholic High School. After much reflection on the current and future needs of our school community, we have decided to move forward with a new leadership structure. We are pleased to announce the appointments of Chad Huntebrinker (Class of 2000) as Assistant Principal for Student Life and Andrea Biederman as Assistant Principal for Academics.
“Mrs. Biederman and Mr. Huntebrinker are experienced educators and committed members of the CCHS family,” said Kevin Parkins, Head of School. “Their deep understanding of our mission, students, and culture will serve us well as we continue to grow in excellence and faith.”
Chad taught geometry, personal money management, general business, and accounting at Central Catholic for 15 years and has served as the Dean of Students for the last four years. He has an associate degree from Owens Community College, a bachelor’s degree from The University of Toledo, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. He is also the offensive line coach for the Fighting Irish football team.
Chad’s role will be an extension of what he has been doing as the Dean of Students - supporting students academically, behaviorally, and with their attendance on a daily basis. He will do more administrative work, but will continue to work daily with students, teachers, counselors, and other administrators.
“I really enjoy working with young men and women at the high school level on a daily basis,” explained Chad. “As I’ve gotten more comfortable with the day to day tasks of a dean, I feel like I am at a place where I can continue to support students and teachers as well as fill some roles as an assistant principal. Seeing growth take place in the students' lives, whether it be academically, socially, spiritually, or athletically, is a feeling that is hard to describe. I enjoy helping and supporting teachers and letting them know that they are valued and cared for. I believe I have made a positive impact on student and faculty growth each year I have been the Dean of Students, so when Mr. Parkins asked me about taking on more administrative tasks, I didn’t hesitate to accept. We have a great school community at Central Catholic, and I just want to continue to play a small part in everyone’s success."
Andrea previously served as Head of Intervention Services and as an intervention specialist. She is entering her fifth year at Central Catholic. She graduated from Edgerton High School, has a bachelor’s degree in special education from St. Mary's College/University of Toledo, and has a master’s in educational leadership and administration from Lourdes University. Prior to joining the staff at CCHS, she worked in both public and charter schools, including virtual settings, and spent five years outside the classroom as a special education teacher trainer.
In her new role, Andrea is responsible for overseeing academic programming and instructional leadership. This includes supervising teachers and department chairs, leading curriculum development, facilitating professional development, and ensuring high-quality teaching practices. She will also continue to lead the intervention services team, coordinating academic interventions and student support services, monitoring student progress, and overseeing department compliance. A key part of her role is maintaining a positive academic culture grounded in our Catholic mission, while collaborating with the leadership team to ensure both academic excellence and whole-child development.
“I was drawn to this new role because I am passionate about fostering both academic success and personal growth in students,” Andrea said. “I have always been deeply committed to supporting both students and teachers while creating positive, effective learning environments. This role allows me to have a broader impact - supporting staff, students, and families - while helping to shape the academic vision of our school in alignment with Catholic values. I see it as a natural next step in my vocation as an educator and leader, serving with gratitude and enthusiasm.
“My main goals are to maintain and strengthen instructional quality, provide meaningful support for teachers, and ensure that all students are receiving the academic and intervention support they need to succeed. I’m excited to listen, learn, and collaborate with my colleagues as we continue to grow together as a school community.”
The first day of classes for the 2025-26 school year is slated for Wednesday, August 20.
