Save the Date for Central Catholic’s Fall Play - November 21-22

Central Catholic’s Drama Club will present the play, Radium Girls, on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22 at the Historic Ohio Theatre, 3112 LaGrange St.  Tickets will be available at a later date.

This award-winning historical drama by D.W. Gregory focuses on the working class girls who battled the U.S. Radium Corporation in court in the early 1920s.  The girls were exposed to high levels of radium working as dial painters, and the play follows them as they race for justice as their health deteriorates.

“When I considered which play would be a good fit for us this year, I couldn't help but think of all the dedicated students I have worked with since their freshmen year who have shown such growth as actors and who have consistently shown commitment to our theatre program,” said Angela Mills, English teacher and Drama Club moderator. “This play offers roles with depth for our most seasoned students, as well as roles that will quickly foster growth in our new members.  I believe this show honors the group we have this year, and I can't wait to see how our students will honor the real, historical people they portray.”

Stay tuned for the cast list and more details about the show!
