3 Student-Athletes Sign During Early National Signing Period

Central Catholic High School proudly recognized three student-athletes on Tuesday as they signed their Athletic Aid Agreements during the Early National Signing Period.  Surrounded by family, friends, teammates, coaches, and staffulty in Krompak Hall, each signee celebrated a milestone that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and God-given talent, while taking the next step in both their academic and athletic journeys.

Makenzie Coleman (Glenville State University – Softball), Katie Rapp (Defiance College – Softball), and Vinny Reamer (Hocking College – Baseball) each committed to continuing both their academic and athletic journeys at the collegiate level.  Their achievements embody our mission to prepare students to excel academically, grow socially, and mature spiritually — and our vision to inspire disciples who transform the world.

Last spring, Coleman posted a standout season for the Scarlet & Gray, batting a team-best .522 (47-for-90) with 33 runs, 2 home runs, and 40 RBI.  Alongside Rapp, she helped lead Central Catholic to its second consecutive Catholic High School League Varsity AA Championship.

These newest signees join a remarkable group of classmates who signed earlier this fall: Preston Fryzel (University of Notre Dame, football), Manny Johnson (Eastern Michigan University, basketball), Zanaje Liggons (Lafayette College, football), Victor Singleton, Jr. (Texas A&M University, football), Sharard Vaughn III (University  of Toledo, football), and Draden Wardrop (Oakland University, baseball) — marking one of the strongest signing periods in recent Irish Athletics history.
