Girls’ Basketball Rolls Past Bowsher in Non-League Matchup, 51–25
The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team turned in a dominant performance Saturday afternoon, earning a 51–25 non-league victory over Bowsher in the Sullivan Center. With the win, the Fighting Irish improve to 2–3 on the season.
Central Catholic’s defense was the difference from the opening tip, limiting the Blue Racers to single-digit scoring in every quarter while dictating the tempo throughout the contest.
Junior G Madison Stricker led all scorers with 16 points, while senior G Sereinity Bolden chipped in 12 to pace a balanced Fighting Irish attack. Aliyah Osei scored 11 points to lead Bowsher.
Earlier in the afternoon, the CCHS junior varsity team secured a convincing 38–17 home victory over the Blue Racers.
Central Catholic returns to action on Wednesday, December 17, when the Fighting Irish travel to Start for a 6:30 p.m. non-league matchup. Tickets for Wednesday’s contest can be purchased by clicking HERE.
