Girls’ Basketball Falls to Northview at Northwest Ohio Holiday Showcase, 62–50

The Central Catholic High School girls’ basketball team dropped a 62–50 decision to Northview on Saturday at the Northwest Ohio Holiday Showcase, hosted on the campus of Anthony Wayne High School. With the neutral-site loss, the Fighting Irish move to 2–5 on the season.

Central Catholic held a 26–24 halftime lead, but the Wildcats surged in the second half, outscoring the Irish 38–24 to secure the 12-point victory.

Senior G Nina Stevens led the Irish with 18 points, marking another strong outing, while senior G Marissa Justen added 12 points.

Northview’s offense was paced by Grace Krahl with 19 points, supported by Callie Cox (18 points) and Amelia Shamy (16 points).

Central Catholic returns to the hardwood on Monday, December 22, when the Irish host Ottawa Hills in the Sullivan Center. The evening begins with the junior varsity game at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest. Tickets for Monday’s game can be purchased by clicking HERE.
