Eight Fighting Irish Earn All-Ohio Honors
Eight members of the Central Catholic football program have earned All-Ohio Division III accolades, as announced Wednesday by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association (OPSWA). Since 1972, OPSWA — endorsed by the OHSAA — has recognized outstanding high school student-athletes across the state, with All-Ohio teams determined through district nominations and voting based on regular-season performance.
Central Catholic landed three First-Team selections, highlighted by senior DB Victor Singleton, Jr., who was named Division III Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. Singleton anchored the Irish defense with two interceptions and a consistent shutdown presence in the secondary.
Joining him on the First Team were senior WR/TE Preston Fryzel and junior RB Jeremiah Fuller. Fryzel, a 2024 honorable mention all-state pick, turned in a standout season with 38 receptions for 921 yards and 8 touchdowns. Fuller powered the ground attack with 1,538 rushing yards on 231 carries (6.7 ypc) and 25 touchdowns.
Senior DL Zenaje Liggons earned Second-Team All-Ohio honors for the second year in a row.
Senior OL Tyler Britsch and senior OL Kevon Harrison were named to the Third Team, anchoring a frontline that helped the Fighting Irish score 35 or more points in nine games.
Rounding out the honorees were junior DL Chris Sanders, Jr. and junior DB Keyon Robinson, both selected as Honorable Mention All-Ohio.
Central Catholic concluded another historic campaign by advancing to the state championship game for the fourth consecutive year, finishing the season 11–5 overall with a 3–2 record in the Catholic High School League (CHSL).
