Five Fighting Irish Earn Division III All-District 7 Honors

Five members of the Central Catholic girls’ basketball team have earned Division III All-District 7 recognition, as selected by the district’s head coaches.

Leading the way for the Fighting Irish were seniors Nina Stevens and Serinity Bolden, who garnered First Team All-District honors.  Senior Marissa Justen received Second Team recognition, while junior Madison Stricker was named Honorable Mention.

Stevens, Bolden, and Justen are each collecting All-District 7 accolades for the second consecutive season — a testament to their consistency and leadership on the hardwood.

In addition, Head Coach Clifton Hodges was selected as the Division III All-District 7 Coach of the Year.

Central Catholic has advanced to the District Finals for the third straight season following postseason victories over Waite and Rogers.  The top-seeded Fighting Irish will face No. 4 seed Mansfield Madison Comprehensive on Saturday, February 28 at Buckeye Central High School. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m., with live radio coverage beginning at 2:45 p.m. on 100.7 FM The Ticket.  Postseason tickets must be purchased online by clicking HERE.
